There’s a big tech competition!” he announced.

D1 In an engineering college known for its wealthy students, there was a young man named Ram. Unlike the others, Ram came from a poor family. He got into the prestigious computer science class because of his hard work and talent. While most students drove expensive cars and wore designer clothes, Ram carried a second-hand laptop in a simple bag.

One day, their lecturer walked into the classroom with exciting news.

“There’s a big tech competition!” he announced. “Whoever creates the best software device will win a prize of 1 crore rupees and a job at Google!”

The class buzzed with excitement. Then the lecturer added, “You must work in pairs.”

Students quickly chose their partners. Ram looked around, but no one wanted to team up with him. Even though everyone knew he was brilliant, they ignored him because he was poor. Ram sat quietly, trying not to show how hurt he felt.

As the competition date approached, some of the other students grew jealous of Ram and Siri’s progress. They knew Ram was talented and feared he might win. One night, a few of them secretly entered the lab and installed a virus on Ram’s laptop.

The next day, Ram’s laptop wouldn’t turn on.

“What happened?” Siri asked, worried.

“I think there’s a virus,” Ram said, panic in his voice.

Siri immediately called a technician to fix it, but it was too late. Most of their work was gone. Ram felt like giving up, but Siri refused to let him.

“Ram, we can do this. You’re the smartest person I know. Let’s start over,” she said, her eyes full of determination.

Her words gave Ram the strength to try again. They worked day and night, barely sleeping.

Finally, the day of the competition arrived. Ram and Siri presented their software—an AI platform that could integrate with wearable devices, hospital databases, and diagnostic tools. The software could predict illnesses like diabetes, heart disease, and even rare genetic disorders with high accuracy.

The judges were amazed by its potential to revolutionize healthcare.

When the results were announced, Ram and Siri won first prize! The room erupted in applause as the lecturer handed them a cheque for 1 crore rupees.

“Congratulations, Ram. You’ve also secured a job at Google!” the lecturer said proudly.

Ram couldn’t believe it. Tears filled his eyes as he looked at Siri.

“Thank you for believing in me,” he said.

“I didn’t just believe in you, Ram. I learned from you,” Siri replied with a smile.

From that day on, Ram’s life changed. He used the prize money to help his family and pursue his dreams. Siri and Ram stayed close, and their friendship grew into something more. Siri’s parents, who once doubted Ram, came to respect him for his hard work and character.

Together, Ram and Siri proved that true talent and kindness could overcome any obstacle, no matter where you come from.
